Modern food systems are a major contributor to climate change, biodiversity loss, land depletion, and resource exhaustion. At the same time, poor dietary patterns are contributing to the global rise in non-communicable diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. These challenges, together with rising food insecurity and socioeconomic inequality, call for a comprehensive transformation of our food systems from production to consumption.

In line with the European Green Deal, Farm to Fork strategy and with objectives of Horizon Europe Partnership for Safe and Sustainable Food System for people, planet & climate, the project mission is to facilitate the shift to healthy and sustainable diets by implementing corrective actions through specific new sustainable foods design and development of specific educational strategies to increase people’s awareness about good nutritional practices providing clear information that makes it easier for the population to facilitate the shift.
